πŸ’Tracy's Tips:

How to keep food for a long time?

  • Keep canned food, bread, rice, flour, kept in low temperature and protected from light. If you want to keep the bread for a long time, you can slice and pack it into a fresh-keeping bag and freeze it.
  • Meat can generally be refrigerated for 3-5 days. If it is to be stored for a long time, it can be divided into freezer bags and placed in the freezer.
  • For green leafy vegetables, remove the yellowed or rotten leaves, dry the water, cover the roots with plastic wrap, roots inward, and place in the refrigerator (lower temperature).
  • If you happen to buy too much fresh vegetables, prepare and freeze them, except for celery, lettuce, cucumber, and other vegetables which have high water content.
  • Fruits such as apples, bananas, and avocados, which emit natural ripening gases such as ethylene, should be stored separately rather than refrigerator.
  • Don't put tropical fruits such as bananas, mangoes, etc, in the refrigerator, as they will be frostbitten. If you want to store them for a long time, you can peel it, cut it into small pieces, and freeze it. It has a taste similar to ice cream.
  • Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberry, grapes and other fruits are not easy to store for a long time, but can be washed and put in freezer.
  • Stable vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, cabbage, etc, can be put in a storage in cool and low-light environment.
